The Dash series is a strategy and time management video game franchise initially developed by GameLab and published by PlayFirst. It is now owned and published by Glu Mobile. Diner Dash was one of the top-selling downloadable games of all-time,[1]. Since the first release, there has been numerous Sequels and Spin-Offs based on the series, such as the Wedding Dash series and the Cooking Dash series.

The original game was at least remade 3 times, in 2007 for the Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable handhelds with completely redrawn graphics and new retro soundtracks per each restaurant, in 2009 in 3D for (Xbox 360, Wii and PS3) consoles with completely remade graphics and gameplay whilst still maintaining the original art style and music, and in 2010 for Mobile with remastered graphics.

The 2014 reboot has received an estimation of over 10 million downloads (in Google Play), making it among one of the most popular mobile games.[2]

The latest entry in the series, Diner DASH Adventures, combines elements from Diner Dash, DinerTown sim and Hotel Dash with a freemium "pay to win" twist, whilst the story follows after Cooking Dash (2016), the game's story is generic and irrelevant to the original series. Adventures has an estimate of over 5 million downloads on Google Play.[3]
